Argentina's Chief of Cabinet, Manuel Adorni, has replaced his deputy, José Rolandi, with Aimé “Meme” Vázquez. Rolandi was appointed in December 2023 when President Javier Milei took office.

Buenos Aires, December 2 (NA) – The Chief of Cabinet, Manuel Adorni, has removed the Deputy Chief of Cabinet, José Rolandi, and appointed Aimé “Meme” Vázquez to replace him. Official sources informed the Argentine News Agency, and Vázquez will become the number two in the Cabinet Chief's office. Rolandi had joined the government in December 2023, when Javier Milei came to power with the support of then-Cabinet Chief Nicolás Posse. He survived Posse's departure by sheltering under the wing of Guillermo Francos, the Minister of the Interior who had been anointed by the libertarian administration to head the ministerial table. Who is Aimé “Meme” Vázquez, the new right-hand man of Manuel Adorni. After Francos's departure at the end of October, Rolandi had been on shaky ground, and Adorni himself established that he would define his team. With these changes, the structure of the Chief of Cabinet's office will include the Secretariats of Press and Communication, led by Javier Lanari, and of Environment and Tourism, where Daniel Scioli remains; in addition to the Executive Secretariat; of Parliamentary and Institutional Relations; of Innovation, Science and Technology; and of Strategic Affairs, along with the Undersecretariat of Parliamentary and Institutional Relations.
